Boral Timber’s engineered hardwood timber flooring range Boral Silkwood is available in two widths – 133mm and 175mm.
The 133mm width is available in nine stunning Australian hardwood species, including the warm honey tones of Blackbutt, Stringybark, Tallowwood and Tasmanian Oak, the chocolate browns of Spotted Gum and Brushbox, and the rich reds of Sydney Blue Gum, Red Mahogany and Jarrah. The broad portfolio of Boral Silkwood hues offers unique colour and grain variations.
The 175mm width is a new addition to the Boral Silkwood range and designed to deliver a greater sense of space for today’s popular open plan living areas. The new wide boards are available in three Australian species – Blackbutt, Sydney Blue Gum, and Brushbox – for a varied spectrum of finishes.
As well as delivering on aesthetics, one of the major attractions of the Boral Silkwood range is that it is supplied pre-finished, so there is no mess and fuss of sanding and finishing. This also means that the floor can be walked on within hours of installation.
Easy to install, Boral Silkwood can be glued or ‘floated’ over any level, structurally sound subfloor such as concrete slabs, plywood, or existing tiles and timber floors.
Boral Silkwood can also be fitted with a Boral Timber acoustic underlay, particularly beneficial for multi-level dwellings, keeping noise from foot traffic to a minimum and helping to keep the neighbours on side.
The Boral Silkwood range is backed by a 25 year residential structural and surface warranty providing peace of mind for long-term enjoyment.
