Studio M is owned and run by Michael Brewster. With over 8 years experience working in New York City managing some of the biggest poster restoration studios and poster galleries, Michael has returned to Sydney to service a much needed gap in the paper conservation market.

Michael Brewster was born in Sydney. After studying fine art at the University of Western Sydney and later the College of Fine Arts Sydney, he traveled to New York City, where he worked as a printer for Greg Burnett, producing prints in collaboration with Sean Scully, Richard Serra and Richard Tuttle. As a natural progression Michael turned to vintage posters where he trained as a restorer and worked his way up to be recognized as one of the best on the international market. He has also managed some of the top galleries in vintage posters and has brought back a broad knowledge of printed ephemera to Australia. He now owns and runs Studio M Vintage Posters, the only one of its kind in Australia specializing in vintage poster restoration.

Vintage posters in Australia now have a place to call home. No job is too big or small - we provide a full linen backing and restoration service.

Call for a quote or drop on by. We are happy to have visitors to our studio as it is difficult to provide an accurate quotation without having sighted the poster. We can however give you a general estimation before you drag your poster half way across the country!
